There are two general types of reaction to anxiety; physical (or somatic) and mental (or cognitive). The distinction is important because you need to match your anxiety reduction strategy to the type of effect.
Physical symptoms
Physical symptoms respond to physical remedies. Just a few strategies, but effective, so look here
Dry mouth Increase in sweating
Trembling or shaking Increased pulse rate
'Butterflies' in the stomach; feeling sick Faster breathing; possibly tight-chested feeling
Frequent toilet visits Tense muscles
Tiredness or feelings of weakness
